Exhibition of works by Vasily Bubnov

Exhibition of works by Vasily Bubnov took place in July 2019 within the framework of the exposition of Leo Mikhailov and Irina Miheeva works. Unfortunately sometimes it happens that group show is curated partly. This time I was asked to curate Vasily Bubnov’s part of the show. Fortunately we managed to merge three parts of the exhibition in a solid presentation. But it was quite strange experience, to be honest. 

I selected 65 works from big amount of works that Vasily Bubnov decided to show: crayon painting and oil painting. Author wanted present different series and topics. So I decided that only straight geometry can help to organize the layout. 

Big blocks of particular themes were created, gaps sizes and rhythm was found and as a result I managed to present works in absolutely unexpected way.
