        Katerina Krylova was born in Krasnodar, Russia. In 2006 graduated from Institute of Economics, Law and Human specialities with a specialization in design. And in 2019 got a certificate in International Art management at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. Since 2005 worked in the field of interior design, founded her own design studio. In 2015 an interest in photography led to join the International Biennale of Photography PhotoVisa organizers team. Since 2017 – PR director of the Biennale, associated projects organizer and assistant curator for PhotoVisa foreign programs. In 2018 - 2020 worked as an artistic director of the Site-specific-art department of the Moscow Union of Artists.

        Currently works as an independent curator, organizer, art manager, exhibition architect and consultant for projects in social, cultural and art fields. Based in Tel-Aviv, Israel

 

 

 

Accomplished projects:

2022 October

The first project in Israel. Curated an exhibition of works by French photographer Raphael Perez in the multifunctional space of the ZOA House in Tel-Aviv. The project presented Israeli Jazzmen and took place along with the International jazz festival. The show was dedicated to The IsraeliJazz book by Raphael Perez and was present twice on two different floors of the building.

2022 July

Worked as an expert at the FestFoto 2022 online portfolio review. Porto Alegre, Brazil.

September 2021 - February 2022

Photography contest Argus 2021. Photography Among the Arts

Executive Director. Website architecture, terms of reference for contest graphic design. Documents and regulations preparation, assistance to the jury members. Interaction with participants and winners. Works preparation for the final exhibition and exposition architecture. Online catalog editor. Newsletters and PR support.

2021 December. The Kashirskaya metro station of the Moscow Metro, an exhibition of the project dedicated to women, who recovered from cancer by photographer Olga Pavlova. The exhibition was curated by Victoria Marmur.

I was responsible for the "architecture" of the project. In quotes, because we didn't build anything. But it was necessary to figure out how to arrange 40 images on 120 meters of the metro platform.

2021 September, distant assistant curation of two shows within the framework of XXI Pingyao International Photography Festival (PIP), Shanxi, which opened on September 18, 2021 in China. The first of the exhibitions, “Moscow. Eagle's gaze. Ant's Gaze ", dedicated to the memory of two outstanding Russian photographers, N.Rakhmanov (1932-2021) and M. Dashevsky (1935-2021) 
The second exhibition of the Russian curator Irina Chmyreva called Happy Seasons - a collection of photographs by 13 authors from Russia, Great Britain, Germany, Cambodia, Cuba and Poland
2021 Online program Photovisa Club of Friends series of 15 zoom meetings with photographers from all around the world who told the audiense about their inspiration figures and teachers, those who had influenced their art and vision mostly throughout the career.
2020 Online festival of photography. Special edition Photovisa Week. Club of Friends.  PR director, member of the organising committee. 27 online events, 10 online exhibitions, 33 posts on social networks during 7 days. Took part in program development, organization and all media support for the event. 
2019 December.  Children's Album  tempera painting by Tatiana Chyvasheva. Solo show. The exhibition features the pieces from private collections, as well as artist's most recent art pieces made in 2017–2019. The show  was presented at the exhibition hall of Moscow State Conservatory, Russia. Curator - Irina Chmyreva, PhD, assistant curator - Catherine Krylova.
2019  November.  The Enigmatic show within the framework of the second BaoHe International week of Photography.  The exhibition included works by seven artists from five countries: Frank Rodick (Canada), Nikolai Kulebyakin (Russia), Qian Jin (China), Patrick Gries (Belgium), Igor Elukov (Russia), Vojtech Slama (Czech Republic) and Maxim Romanenko (Russia). 2019  October. The second BaoHe International Photography Week took place in Hefei, China. Solo show Soviet and Post-Soviet Everyday Life in Russia - photographs by Igor Gavrilov was presented within the framework of the festival. Igor Gavrilov is a famous Russian photographer awarded many international prizes. 2019 September. Yachonty Tatiana Chyvasheva solo show. 40 oil on wood and tempera on wood works were presented at the Moscow Union of artists exhibition hall in Moscow, Russia. Curator - Irina Chmyreva, PhD, assistant curator - Catherine Krylova.
2019 September. Line of Lights in Shadow Nothing - group exhibition of 7 photographers from 4 countries within the framework of the XIX Pingyao International Photography festival, China. Works by Igor Elukov, Nikolai Kulebyakin, Maxim Romanenko - Russia; Qian Jin - China, Vojtech Slama - Czech Republic, Dennis Hodges and Garrett Hansen - USA were presented in the show curated by Irina Chmyreva, PhD. Four suits of Vladimir Viatkin - solo show of Russian photographer Vladimir Viatkin within the framework of the XIX Pingyao International Photography festival, China. 104 works were included in the show, curated by Irina Chmyreva, PhD. 2019 September. Two solo shows of Russian photographers. Yana Vasilyeva's Blossoms of the Unknown Grounds and the show by Ilya Ivankin, Lullaby were held within the framework of the XIX Pingyao International Photography festival, China. 2019 July. Exhibition of works by Vasily Bubnov took place within the framework of the group show of Leo Mikhailov and Irina Miheeva works.  65 crayon and oil painting were selected. Curator: Catherine Krylova.
